All Ear Buddies™ kits contain all you need to fit Ear Buddies™ splints to your newborn baby:
- 2 Ear Buddies™
- adhesive strips
- hat
The hat in the kit is not treatment, but is provided to hide the splints from prying eyes in case you feel a little sensitive about having fitted Ear Buddies™ splints to your baby’s ears when you take baby out, or to cover the tape and splints on special occasions.
The kits differ only in the style and size of hat they contain. Hats are available in either 100% cotton, or in velour. If your baby is not newborn, please look at the Older Baby section before ordering.
For Older Babies, we advise you to choose kits GK5 and BK5 as the hats they contain are larger and stretch better. We also recommend that you order at least one pack of Superwide tape (Tape Pack AT 5) - the wider, stronger strips provide extra force in moulding less pliable cartilage. One pack of Superwide tape should last 6 weeks to two months, presuming you are able to make each strip last for two weeks. For babies older than 2 months of age, two packs of Superwide tape (AT5) are normally required. Lastly, you might find Adhesive Remover Wipes helpful if you need to change the tapes, or to remove adhesive marks at the end of splintage.
